AI Career Accelerator Program

The Applied AI Certification provides graduate-level technical talent with the foundational knowledge and skills to succeed in careers in applied AI and industry. The Applied AI Certificate is issued upon the achievement of the AI Career Exploration Badge, the AI Professional Development Badge, and the Work Integrated Learning Badge in Amii’s AI Career Accelerator Program. Upon completion of the engagements, participants are able to: - Demonstrate relevant experience for job applications in applied AI roles across domains - Gain a greater understanding of the careers available in the field of applied AI - Develop the knowledge and skills to succeed in the workplace and become informed decision makers - Learn and practice developing and maintaining a strong professional network - Gain familiarity with emerging topics, techniques, and domains related to AI in application

The Work Integrated Learning Badge indicates the completion of 30 experiential learning hours from part-time contract opportunities at Amii, where graduate-level technical talent undergo placements with Amii’s Product Teams to contribute to an ongoing internal project or program. Upon completion of the engagements, participants are able to: - Increase knowledge and skills in AI and ML related topics and tools - Gain hands-on work-adjacent experiences - Grow professional network and receive mentorship from AI and product leaders - Understand the greater ecosystem of AI research and industry adoption through applied AI work

The AI Professional Development Badge indicates the successful completion of 5 professional development sessions, tailored to support the professional and personal growth and success of graduate-level technical talent, studying AI and ML. Upon completion of the sessions, participants are able to: - Adopt best practices for career building and professionalism - Discover and practice emerging technical topics beyond the graduate student curriculum - Develop confidence in navigating career exploration and securing career opportunities - Foster valuable connections with prominent professionals in the AI and ML community
